  • an advisor dedicated to participants
  • college and university tours
  • workshops on a variety of topics, from navigating
college to personal attire and basic business
  • textbook lending
  • computer-assisted tutoring
  • mentoring opportunities

The Program coordinator works one-on-one with students to assist with course selection and to track academic progress. Protégé members also benefit from priority registration and computer-assisted tutoring, if desired.  Additionally, members have access to all of the services and resources offered in the Learning Achievement Center, including laptop and calculator loans.

The Program encourages personal growth, promotes positive brotherhood, and assists African American men in developing a clear understanding of their responsibilities as college students and as productive members of society.

The Protégé Program is a member of Brother2Brother, a regional initiative between 17 member schools including two- and four-year institutions and selected high schools. Members participate in campus and regional events designed to promote positive brotherhood and encourage persistence in college.
