Illinois State Crime Commission Emergency Summit on Organized Suburban and Rural Child Sexual Exploitation

Illinois State Crime Commission Emergency Summit on Organized Suburban and Rural Child Sexual Exploitation [02/22/2016]

Message from Jacqueline Agee, chair of the Prairie State College Board of Trustees

The Illinois State Crime Commission is presenting an Emergency Summit on Organized Suburban and Rural Child Sexual Exploitation and Trafficking Summit at 10 a.m., Wednesday, Feb. 24, 2016 at Prairie State College, located at 202 S. Halsted Street in Chicago Heights, Ill.

Approximately two years ago, the Illinois State Crime Commission investigated and declared heroin to be a medical epidemic. This explosive narcotic proved itself to be just that. The Commission is now declaring sexual exploitation of heroin addicted youth as a national disaster.

The general public is invited to hear experts in law enforcement, academia, religion, legal, medical experts, and elected officials as panelists to discuss this national disaster that is rapidly encroaching in rural and suburban communities.

Please contact Jerry Elsner, Executive Director of the Illinois State Crime Commission at (630) 778-9191 for any additional information.
