All participants are required to arrive on time. Children are not permitted during registration. Students interested in taking the Bridge to Healthcare Careers course must earn a passing score on the placement test in order to enroll. Classes take place Monday through Thursday from 9:30 a.m. to 12:20 p.m. The 12-week semester begins on Monday, Sept. 11.

Students in the Bridge to Healthcare course will get the opportunity to develop their English language skills, and improve on reading, writing and math. The class assists students in choosing a career in healthcare such as Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), Pharmacy Technician, Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), Phlebotomy Technician and Medical Billing and Coding Professional. The class also helps prepare participants for college-level courses and test taking, and gives them tools needed to effectively conduct a job search.

“This class makes a difference for so many students who want to start a meaningful career in the healthcare field,” said Jennifer Eick-Magan, associate professor, coordinator of ESL at PSC.
