The show opened on Jan. 3 and will be on display through Feb. 1, 2018 in the gallery, located on the PSC main campus at 202 S. Halsted St. in Chicago Heights. An artists’ reception is scheduled from noon to 2:30 p.m., Tuesday, Jan. 23.
The exhibition will feature works in every media by artists David Gremp (photography) George Kassal (photography) Gail Otterson (watercolor paintings) Paul Rinaldi (mixed media works, encaustic, paint and wood); Lou Shields (watercolor and ink drawings); Rebecca Slagle (photography on metal); and Valerie Taglieri (oil paintings).
Also featured are works by Christopher Art Gallery Director Beth Shadur, whose handmade books and water-based mixed media paintings will be on display.
“I began doing art when I was very young, learning Japanese brush painting at around 3 years old, “said Beth Shadur. “To feature my works alongside so many exceptionally talented artists is an honor.”
The Christopher Art Gallery is open Monday through Thursday, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., and Wednesday and Thursday from 5 to 7 p.m. PSC will be closed on Jan. 15, in observation of Martin Luther King, Jr. Day.
