PSC Panel Celebrates Women’s History Month [04/17/2018]

Celebrating Women’s History Month in March, Prairie State College (PSC) hosted a panel of distinguished alumni and faculty of the college who shared their experiences as professional women in the workforce. PSC President Dr. Terri L. Winfree (right) moderated the panel, and welcomed the panelists to the event. Among the panel members were (from left) LaLinda De La Fuente, PSC associate professor of sociology and coordinator of social sciences; Dr. Dianne DeSousa, PSC associate professor/coordinator of psychology and chair of the Social Science and Education Department; Dr. Christine Brooms, PSC professor/coordinator of chemistry and chair of the Natural Sciences Department; Dr. Patricia Martin, PSC alumna, Chamberlain College of Nursing Tinley Park Campus president, and former CEO of South Suburban Hospital;  Debbie Halvorson, PSC alumna, former U.S. representative for Illinois’ 11th Congressional District and President of American Eagle Logistics; and Lori Wilcox, PSC alumna, U.S. Army Reserves veteran, business owner, city clerk of Chicago Heights and Bloom Township Democratic Committeeman.
