Welcome to Adult Education
The Adult Education Program at Prairie State College (PSC) serves a diverse population of adult learners. Adult Basic Education (ABE), English as a Second Language (ESL), and GED preparation (English and Spanish) classes are offered on and off campus. Classes provide learning opportunities to in district residents, ages 16 and older. ABE and GED classes require that students be non-high school graduates. Classes are available during the day and evening. Registration and assessment are required for all programs.

The current version of the GED® test is expiring at the end of 2013 and will be replaced with a new test on January 2, 2014. Those who have not passed all five parts of the current test have until the end of 2013 to pass, otherwise their scores will expire.
