Truck Driver Training Program

CDL open house ribbon cutting

Prairie State College's Truck Driver Training Program teaches students the skills to become safe, professional truck drivers, enabling them to secure employment in an entry-level position in the trucking industry. Graduates of the program should expect to go to work immediately.

The program combines classroom presentation and hands-on learning that leads to a Class A commercial driver's license with the endorsements necessary for placement. Classes run year round. Students may choose either a 4-week day class that meets Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. or an 8-week evening class that meets Monday through Friday from 6 to 10 p.m.
