Kids at College is an exciting, three-week program designed especially for students entering 2nd grade through 7th grade. The courses give children a step up for the upcoming school year and focus on English and writing, math, computers, reading, art, and science.

Q. What are the hours of Kids at College?
A. The program runs Monday through Thursday from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
Q. Where is the program located?
A. The program is located on the college’s main campus in the Adult Training and Outreach Center building. The building is located at the north end of campus, on the south side of Vollmer Road. The main address for the college 202 S. Halsted St., Chicago Heights.
Q. How much is Kids at College and do you offer any discounts?
A. Kids at College is $379 for a three-week program. There are no discounts offered.
Q. Where do I park to drop off/pick up my child?

Q. My child is going to be in third grade in the fall, but I think they would benefit from the second grade program. Can I enroll them in the second grade level?
A. Yes. While the Kids at College program is designed to give students a step up on the upcoming school year, parents can enroll their children in the grade level they just completed. Please note that students will be enrolled in the entire grade level curriculum, and parents cannot pick and choose the classes to which they feel their child needs additional review. Be sure to specify this when registering your child.
Q. My child is going to be in fifth grade in the fall, but is in advanced classes in school. I would like to enroll him/her in the sixth grade program. Is this an option?
A. Yes. While the Kids at College program is designed to give students a step up on the upcoming school year, parents can enroll their children the grade level above if the parents feel their children can handle the coursework. Please note that students will be enrolled in the entire grade level curriculum, and parents cannot pick and choose the classes. Be sure to specify this when registering your child.
Q. What is the curriculum for Kids at College?
A. Class sizes are small to allow for individual attention. The program content is developed in conjunction with the Illinois State Goals for each grade level. The day is split into two sections: morning classes include language arts, math, computers, reading, science, and art; afternoon classes include sports taught by physical education instructors and classes such as first aid, babysitting, Spanish, and study skills.
Q. My child can only make it for the two weeks of the three-week program. Can I register for only two weeks?
A. No. The program is a set three-week schedule. Unfortunately, we cannot accommodate scheduling conflicts.
Q. I want to register my child for the afternoon classes only. Can I do that?
A. No. The program is a set three-week schedule and includes mornings and afternoons only. We regret that we cannot accommodate special requests.
Q. What if I can’t pick up my child after the program but my neighbor can?
A. When completing the waiver required to participate in the program, you must name the people and their relationship to the child who are authorized to pick up your child.
Q. Is there early drop-off or late pickup?
A. Yes. For an additional fee, there is drop off available as early as 8 a.m. and pick up available as late as 4:30 p.m. Call (708) 709-3750 for more information.
