Prairie State College Police Department
Campus safety and security is coordinated by the Prairie State College Police Department. The department is located in Room 1100 of the main campus building. Satellite offices are also located in the Health Tech building and the Adult Training and Outreach Center of the College (ATOC).
Police Department Officers are empowered by the College (as provided by 110 Illinois Compiled Statues 805/3-42.1) to enforce both criminal laws and College regulations. The main College campus and its satellite facility are located in areas with highly trained fire departments, equipped to handle any emergency. The department operates in cooperation with other municipal, county, state, and federal law enforcement agencies.
The Department operates 24 hours a day, seven days a week. All full-time Police Department
Officers have completed state approved training as provided by the Illinois Private
Security Act of 1993. All police officers completed the training required by the State

The PSC Police Department shall perform all duties in a professional manner with pride, integrity, and compassion and will serve all without prejudice and uphold the Constitutional Rights of people we encounter, as well as enforcing all laws of the State of Illinois and the United States of America.
Prairie State College 2016 Annual Security Report
As required by the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act (Clery Act), the updated Annual Security Report (ASR) has been posted on the PSC Police Department website. As required by the Act, the report is also made available in a booklet format to the public. This booklet contains crime statistics for the calendar years 2013 – 2015 for Prairie State College (PSC) and the MAC are also available on the PSC Police Department website at the following link.
In addition to crime statistics, the website and booklet contain information regarding campus security and personal safety such as crime prevention and reporting, police law enforcement authority, disciplinary procedures and other related security policies. This information is required by law and is made available by the PSC Police Department.
