Summer Registration is Underway at Prairie State College [03/21/2019]
Students looking to start, continue or complete their degree or certificate – and for those who want to get ahead or take classes to enhance their skills, can now register for five- or eight-week credit sessions, or select from a number of non-credit courses at Prairie State College (PSC) this summer.
The eight-week session runs from June 10 to Aug. 1. The first five-week courses begin May 28 to June 27, and the second five-week summer session runs from July 1 to Aug. 1. To enroll at PSC, visit prairiestate.edu/findwhatfits or stop by Enrollment Services located on the main campus, located at 202 S. Halsted St., Chicago Heights. PSC students who are currently enrolled can register for summer courses on WebAdvisor.
High school graduates who plan to go away in the fall and guest students who are home from college for the summer are encouraged to enroll at PSC. This gives students the opportunity to fulfill general education requirements at a fraction of the cost, and many of the credits can be transferred to other college and universities. Available courses include English, speech, biology, chemistry, history, math and more. For additional information, visit prairiestate.edu/summeronly.
PSC also offers non-credit courses with start dates throughout the semester. Students can choose from adult education and personal enrichment courses; continuing education and work-related training; and short-term, career-focused programs through the PSC Corporate and Continuing Education (CED) department. For details about non-credit classes, seminars, workshops and related programs, visit prairiestate.edu/ced.
To learn more about what PSC has to offer, attend an Open House from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., Saturday, April 6, in the atrium on the main campus. Attendees will get the opportunity to speak with current students, staff and faculty members about PSC life. Raffles, giveaways and food is included.
