Study Abroad

Experience other cultures first-hand by studying abroad.  Live and learn in another country while earning credits towards your degree.  

Prairie State is a member of ICISP (Illinois Consortium for International Studies and Programs).  The ICISP offers students the opportunity to study in the following countries.

Austria	Costa Rica	England
France	China	Ireland
Spain

 

Programs run in the fall, spring, and summer.  All programs involve field trips to cultural locations.  Most programs incorporate learning a foreign language, but also offer courses in other disciplines.  The programs do not have a foreign language requirement. 

Costs vary from around 5-10 thousand dollars for semester programs and 2-5 thousand dollars for summer programs.  Airfare is usually not included.
