Paul Rinaldi: Seeing Through Time - Selected Works from a Creative Life is a retrospective exhibition honoring the late Paul Rinaldi, a beloved Prairie State College professor who taught for over twenty-five years. The exhibition brings together a wide range of his extraordinary work as a painter, tracing a creative practice that evolved from early figurative imagery to non-objective abstraction.
Across decades of making, Rinaldi’s work reflects a sustained commitment to looking, experimentation, and transformation. His paintings reveal a deep engagement with form, color, and space, offering insight into an artist who continuously questioned and redefined his visual language. This exhibition celebrates not only Rinaldi’s artistic achievements, but also his enduring influence as a teacher, mentor, and creative force within the Prairie State College community. Artwork from the exhibition will be for sale and the proceeds will fund the Rinaldi Family Prize in the Arts Scholarship Fund at Prairie State College.
