Banned Books Week Display
Mon, Oct 02, 2023 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM @ Prairie State College
BBW2023

Banned Books Week
October 2 – 6, 2023

Every year the American Library Association (ALA) hosts Banned Books Week. This week celebrates the right to read any book. Book challenges occur when members of the public request that library materials be removed from the shelves. A book banning occurs when those materials are actually removed. Both of these have been on the rise for the past several years, and so this week is increasingly necessary to highlight this challenge.

Please view our display in Pod 6 of the Atrium and in the library.
