What is a SouthWorks MakerLab at Prairie State College?

It is a place where you and others can come and use equipment to make things for recreational, business or personal interests. The equipment available includes 3D printers, 3D scanner, welders, electronics, mills, lathes, and more (more about equipment later).The lab will be open a few days a week and Saturdays for those interested in prototyping, inventing, crafting, artwork and hobbies. There also will be educational sessions including topics on safety, equipment usage, innovation and business principles. Coming soon are camps and activities for youth groups.
