WELCOME TO PRAIRIE STATE COLLEGE
Prairie State College (PSC) is a two-year community college offering associate degrees,
technical and career certificates, and adult, corporate, and continuing education.
Our 137-acre campus is located at South Halsted Street and Vollmer Road in Chicago
Heights, Illinois. We serve over 12,000 students annually through our credit and non-credit
courses.
PSC offers associate degrees that prepare students for transfer to four-year institutions, associate degrees and certificates that prepare students for specific careers, and an associate degree that recognizes the completion of a broad range of college-level courses. Degrees and certificates in more than 100 fields of study, including nursing and dental hygiene, are offered. PSC was the first Illinois community college to guarantee all credits will transfer to other Illinois colleges and universities, a guarantee that continues through the Illinois Articulation Agreement.
