The Automotive Service Management Specialist Certificate offers specialized training in managing service departments, supervising technicians, and providing excellent customer service. This program is designed for professionals aiming to take on supervisory roles and improve the efficiency of automotive service operations.

Our Automotive Technology program is certified by the National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) Education Foundation. Certification was awarded in automatic transmission and transaxles, brakes, electrical/electronic systems, engine performance, engine repair, heating and air conditioning, manual drivetrain and axles, and suspension.

What Can You Do with an Automotive Service Management Specialist Certificate?

With this certificate, you can work as an automotive service manager or supervisor, overseeing daily shop operations, managing staff, coordinating service appointments, and ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction. You will be equipped to improve service workflow, implement best practices, and lead teams toward achieving business goals in automotive service environments.

Suggested Curriculum

Service management specialists are the link between the customers seeking repair or maintenance for their vehicles and the technicians who perform the work. Students are trained to write repair orders, inspect vehicles to determine work that needs to be done, determine costs of the work, and prepare itemized estimates. In addition, students learn basic computer skills and basic business management skills. After gaining experience in entry-level positions, successful students can go on to the management/supervisory levels in auto shops.

This program (Tuition and Fees) will cost $3,264 if completed within normal time. Books and Supplies $425. There may be additional costs for living expenses. These costs were accurate at the time of posting, but may have changed.
