

Prairie State College’s Mathematics A.A. program offers a comprehensive curriculum that develops your analytical and mathematical skills. Designed for students planning to transfer to four-year universities, this program also opens doors to careers in education, finance, technology, and data analysis.

Area A: Communication (9 credits)
Area B: Humanities and Fine Arts (9 credits)
Select three courses from the list for Area B with at least one course from humanities and one course from fine arts.
Area C: Mathematics (5 credits)
Area D: Physical and Life Sciences (7-8 credits)
Area E: Social and Behavioral Sciences (9 credits)
Select three courses in at least two different disciplines from the list for Area E.
MATH 172 Calculus with Analytic Geometry II (M1 900-2; MTH 902) *
MATH 173 Calculus with Analytic Geometry III (M1 900-3; MTH 903) *
MATH 216 Differential Equations (MTH 912) or
MATH 220 Linear Algebra (MTH 911) preferred
