Welcome to the Academic Advising Center, located in suite 1190 on the main campus. Our office is dedicated to supporting students with academic planning, transfer requirements, and more. We provide assistance with college orientation, registration, academic and career guidance, degree planning, outreach and support to ensure your academic success.

If you have questions, need help with course planning, or would like to review your academic plan, we encourage you to schedule an appointment with an Academic Advisor. An appointment gives you dedicated time with an advisor to discuss your questions and make sure you have the support you need for next term.

Need help right away? You may also use the QLess link listed here to connect with an Academic Advisor for same day assistance. Same day visits are limited to 10 minutes and are designed for quick questions or immediate concerns.

Keep on top of your student planning with our web-based self-service platform, it offers integrated student planning, degree audits, financial aid status and award letters, as well as real-time tuition balances, pending payments, and user-friendly billing statements.
Student Planning
Before you register
  • Before you can register, you must complete the Student Questionnaire located in your Pioneer Student Portal. Registration cannot be finalized until this questionnaire is submitted.
  • Log in now to complete the survey.  Once submitted, the hold on your account will automatically lift within 10 minutes.
  • If you are new to the college and do not yet have a PSC email address, please contact the Records and Registration Office at enrollment@prairiestate.edu. They will email you the questionnaire to complete.
Needed for registration
  • PSC student ID number: Submit an application found here
  • Transcripts on file with Records and Registration (high school and college transcripts, if applicable)
    Have transcripts emailed directly to ptranscripts@prairiestate.edu.  If submitting college transcripts, make sure you also complete the Transcript Evaluation Form found here.
  • English​ and Math Placement​ test score
    English placement is needed to enroll in college level courses.  Placement can be achieved, via high school GPA, recent ACT or SAT scores, have previously completed a college English course, or via the free English Placement Exam available at Prairie State Testing Center.

Spring 2027 Registration Dates: Spring 2027 registration begins - October 14
  • Pre-Priority: October 14 (Veterans, Student-Athletes, International Students, Honor’s Students, Students registered with Access & Disability Services)
  • Priority: October 19 (current fall registered students)
  • Open Registration: October 26 (all students and new incoming students)

Add/Drop/Withdrawal Request: Add and drops may be completed via your Pioneer Student Portal. Add/Drop/Withdrawal requests can be completed by filling out the Add/Drop Form. Drop requests cannot be processed via Pioneer Portal if the refund period has ended for the course.

Are you an Allied Health pathway student seeking to apply to PSC Selective Admissions Programs and unsure what courses you should be registered for?
