CHICAGO HEIGHTS, IL - The Prairie State College Foundation hosted a Donor Appreciation Luncheon on November 3 in the PSC Conference Center giving PSC scholarship recipients an opportunity to say thank you to those who generously donated money for scholarships.

“Prairie State College would not be the wonderful place it is without our donors, and the connections which were made today are priceless,” Foundation president Rebecca Nagle said. “We were thrilled to be able to make this gesture to our donors and excited to give them the opportunity to see how their hard-earned dollars are contributing to the futures of our students.”

Over 75 donors and scholarship recipients were in attendance and given a chance to make one-on-one personal connections during the event. PSC President Dr. Michael Anthony and Executive Director of the Foundation Deborah Havigorst both presented to attendees during the luncheon.

“I am honored to be able to be a part of this type of event at the College.” Havigorst said. “It was incredible to be able to watch our students connect with donors. The luncheon helped show the donors the real-life impact of what they’re doing. I can’t thank them enough for making our College a better place.”

The event also featured a gallery of scholarship recipients in the Dr. E. Timothy Lightfield Hall of Honor. Each recipient had their own banner to help tell their story. The banners are still on display across campus in an effort to honor the 50th year of the PSC Foundation. Emails featuring graphics of each student banner are going out each day as part of a campaign by the Foundation.
