It's Faculty Friday! Dana Trunnell is an Associate Professor of Communication at Prairie State College. She teaches Comm 101, Intercultural Communication, Mass Communication, Group Communication and is the Communication Coordinator for the Center of Teaching and Learning on campus. We sat down and chatted about her upcoming Speech Camp, areas of expertise and many other topics.
Favorite Part about working at PSC?
We have a small student body, small faculty so we can really give personalized attention to some of the students.
Benefits of Upcoming Speech Camp
The biggest thing is getting a head start. It’s always really difficult to get started for competition season. If there’s dedicated time in the summer, you can get started and something to take to your coaches to refine over the course of the year. It’s also a great opportunity to work with other coaches.
If you could have any fictional character as a best friend, who would it be?
Snoopy. He’s loyal. Seems pretty cool and has a side gig as a mystery writer.
