Dr. La Tia Collins is an Associate Professor/Coordinator, Child Development at Prairie State College. Collins teaches Health, Safety, and Nutrition, Intro to Early Childhood Development, Observation and Assessment, Child Family and Community, and Curriculum Design for Early Childhood Programs.

We sat down and chatted about her area of expertise and many other topics.

Favorite Part about working at PSC? 

The closeness I have with my students. I knew only two professors out of 40 in the four and a half years I was in college.

If you could switch places with any historical figure for a day, who would it be?

My great grandmother - to figure out how she navigated life.

If you could take your students on a field trip anywhere in the world, where would you go?

Japan and Dubai, toss up!
