CHICAGO HEIGHTS, IL – Prairie State College (PSC) invites the local community to its upcoming Open House.
Stop by the main campus from 10 a.m. to Noon on Saturday, April 20 at 202 S. Halsted
St. in Chicago Heights for an opportunity for prospective students and their families
to explore the PSC campus, interact with faculty and staff, and discover the wide
range of educational programs and resources available. The event is free and open
to the public.
On-air radio personality Lady Red from 106.3 FM will be on campus, along with their
Street Team who will enhance the guests’ experiences with exciting giveaways, including
concert tickets and more!
Highlights:
- Soccer Team Provides Child Care: Men’s soccer coach Carlos Reyes and team will be on hand to host a fun-filled, interactive
program for school aged kids (up to 8th grade) so attendees have an opportunity to
drop their children off and walk around the open house.
- IT Table: Play two virtual games (virtual escape room and Prospector Solitaire) at the IT table.
- Industrial Electricity Table - Have a hair-raising experience with the Van de Graaf Generator and other props
at the Industrial Electricity table.
- Meet and Greet with PSC Mascot Parker: Meet and take photos with PSC mascot Parker.
- Meet Faculty and Staff: Interact with PSC's experienced faculty and staff members who are dedicated to building
an outstanding learning environment and helping students succeed.
- Program Showcases and Lab Tours: Explore the diverse academic programs and courses available at PSC, including transfer
programs, career and technical education, and adult education options. At 10:30 a.m.,
there will be a tour of the Photographic Lab and Lighting Studio.
- Financial Aid Information and Admissions Requirements: Get insights into the financial aid and scholarship opportunities that can make higher
education more affordable while learning the requirements for admittance into PSC.
- Student Services: Discover the wide array of student services and resources, such as counseling, tutoring,
and career advising, designed to support students throughout their educational journey.
