The Automotive Engines Specialist Certificate provides comprehensive training in engine performance, diagnostics, and rebuilding techniques. This program prepares you to work as a skilled engine technician, capable of servicing a wide range of vehicles and powertrains.

Our Automotive Technology program is certified by the National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) Education Foundation. Certification was awarded in automatic transmission and transaxles, brakes, electrical/electronic systems, engine performance, engine repair, heating and air conditioning, manual drivetrain and axles, and suspension.

What Can You Do with an Automotive Engine Specialist Certificate?

With this certificate, you can work as an engine technician or specialist, diagnosing engine problems, performing repairs, rebuilding engines, and ensuring vehicles meet performance standards. You will have the expertise to handle a variety of engine types and contribute to the maintenance and restoration of vehicles, making you a valuable asset in the automotive service industry.

Suggested Curriculum

This short-term program trains the student to function as an engine mechanic. Students learn to overhaul engines, as well as service the electrical needs of the engine.
  • AUTO 101 Basic Automobile Service and Systems
  • AUTO 102 Automotive Engines
  • AUTO 107 Automotive Electricity/Electronics I
