What Can You Do with a Firefighter/EMT Certificate?

With this certificate, you can work as a certified firefighter and EMT, providing immediate medical care and fire suppression during emergencies. You’ll be equipped to respond to fires, vehicle accidents, medical emergencies, and rescue operations, playing a vital role in protecting lives and property in your community.
The demand for trained firefighters and EMTs remains strong as communities prioritize emergency preparedness and response. Graduates with this certification can pursue careers as firefighter-EMTs, emergency medical technicians, rescue personnel, or support staff within fire departments and emergency services. Suggested Curriculum

The Firefighter/EMT certificate will provide the beginning student in the emergency response occupations with fundamental skills in basic fire fighting techniques and emergency medical care. Both areas have independent certification exams that must be successfully completed to obtain employment in the field.

  • FST 119 Basic Firefighter Operations
