Favorite Part about working at PSC?

Every semester is different. All the people are different. There’s always something new going on.

Why should people learn to be an electrician at PSC?

It can’t be outsourced or replaced by ChatGPT. Someone has to work on the equipment that maintains ChatGPT. Things will always be breaking down. They need to be repaired. There’s job security.

What does Women’s History Month mean to you?

It’s recognizing the people in the past that we’ve taken for granted for what they’ve done and contributed to everything that we know.

What is it like being a woman in a male dominated field?

There’s always been challenges. You kind of get used to being the lone woman. There’s never any line at the bathroom. It’s great. The men have been pretty respectful recognizing that talent comes in all different shapes or colors.

What are the key skills or knowledge areas that students should focus on to be successful in the electrical trade?

Be curious. Ask questions. Don’t just take something for granted. Wonder why and look more into it. Don’t just take it for truth.

Hobbies?

Started beekeeping a couple years ago. Hiking.

Favorite Food?

Grilled Octopus

Favorite Ice Cream Flavor?

Moose Tracks, but it has to be like 90 degrees outside

Last Song Listened to?

I do podcasts.

Favorite Place traveled?

Greece, New Zealand

One place You’d like to travel?

Denmark. We’re headed there this summer.
