COVID-19 Vaccine/Testing Mandate

COVID-19 Vaccine/Testing Mandate

Executive Order: Governor J.B. Pritzker issued an executive order to mandate COVID-19 vaccination and/or weekly testing on college campuses for higher education personnel and students.

Effective September 19, 2021, Prairie State College students and employees must have received their first dose of the COVID-19 vaccination by the deadline and the second dose (if needed) 30 days thereafter. Those who chose not to get vaccinated must consent to weekly COVID-19 testing. Per CDC guidance, you are considered fully vaccinated 14 days after the final vaccine is received.

PSC is committed to creating a safe campus for our community. To do so, it is imperative that we comply with the executive order set forth by the Illinois Governor. This will allow us to maintain our safety and continue in-person classes and on-campus services.

Accepted COVID-19 Vaccinations:

The system is available to upload vaccination cards for those who are fully vaccinated and COVID-19 test results for those who choose not to get vaccinated. COVID-19 testing will soon be available on campus. Due to recent developments, the college has been informed that we must comply with the mandate to require verification of COVID-19 test results beginning the week of Sept. 20. Employees and students who are not fully vaccinated will need to provide weekly testing results. Local opportunities for testing can be found at https://dph.illinois.gov/testing.

More information will be sent concerning on-campus testing at PSC.

Please check your PSC email for a link to Cleared4PSC to upload your COVID-19 vaccination card. COVID-19 test results are not required for individuals who are fully-vaccinated.
