Freedom of Information Act
Prairie State College (PSC) complies with the Illinois Freedom of Information Act (FOIA), 5 ILCS 140/1, also identified as public Act 096-0542. The FOIA provides the public access to government documents and records.
In accordance with the FOIA, the information request can be submitted, in writing, by personal delivery, mail, fax, or other available means, including e-mail, to anyone at the college. It is highly recommended that information requests be submitted directly to the Public Relations Manager for timely processing. The college will provide documents in compliance with the law, in terms of content and timelines.
PSC offers two-year associate degrees in a number of disciplines and certificates in various vocations. Additionally, the college provides many non-credit offerings, developmental educational studies, special training and economic development education, and other programs.
PSC is a richly diverse community college dedicated to student-centered instruction that fosters success in adult, transfer, and workforce education.
