Prairie State College Announces New Building Access Guidelines [07/16/20]
Prairie State College (PSC) announced that classes for the fall 2020 semester will be taught online, with the exception of certain labs. While the college is operating virtually for the remainder of the year, PSC wants to ensure that offices, departments, and services are available for students on campus. Therefore, the college has established Building Access Guidelines to provide a framework for employees, students, and community members to enter PSC buildings and facilities safely.
The guidelines, posted on the college’s Covid-19 web page, provide instruction and guidance on how to access the college campus, who will be allowed to enter, and mandatory requirements, and procedures to ensure all those at the college are safe. The administration designed these guidelines as a safety measure --not a manual for re-opening -- to give access to those who need to enter the campus for work or school-related business.
Many offices and departments will be operating by appointment only, with some additional guidelines and operating plans to accommodate students. These plans are being developed by the managers and administrators of those areas, following the PSC Building Access Guidelines as well as current local, state, and federal guidelines regarding the COVID-19 pandemic.
