Professional Licensure Disclosure
Prairie State College academic programs are designed to apply to licensure or certification in Illinois. Separate from educational requirements, state licensure boards may require applicants to provide background checks, residency requirements, years of experience, or applicants must complete professional examinations.
The US Department of Education requires institutions to disclose educational requirements for programs leading to professional licensure or certification. This information must be published and readily accessible for all enrolled and prospective students about whether a program that leads to licensure or certification meets the educational requirements.Prairie State College has determined that its relevant programs comply with Illinois licensure requirements.
NC-SARA has created a Professional Licensure Directory. It provides general contact information for the five most common majors and is updated twice annually. It does not offer regulations or requirements a student may need to meet.
