I'm interested in taking credit classes on the main campus. How do I start? | You may start by speaking to the transition specialist. You will receive guidance on completing the Prairie State College application as well as taking the placement test. |
What is the placement test? | It is a computerized test that determines your college readiness level and consists of three parts: English, Reading, and Math. For more information please visit the Assessment Testing and Placement webpage. |
How do I pay for college? | You may be eligible to receive financial aid and/or scholarships. |
I don't have my GED® certificate yet, can I still take credit classes at Prairie State College? | Yes. However, you cannot receive financial aid or graduate without having a GED® certificate. It is recommended that you first complete this process first so that you are best prepared to take college credit courses. |
I need help with my résumé, where can I go for help? | You can meet with the transition specialist for guidance. |
