I'm interested in taking credit classes on the main campus. How do I start?	You may start by speaking to the transition specialist. You will receive guidance on completing the Prairie State College application as well as taking the placement test.
What is the placement test?	It is a computerized test that determines your college readiness level and consists of three parts: English, Reading, and Math. For more information please visit the Assessment Testing and Placement webpage.
How do I pay for college?	You may be eligible to receive financial aid and/or scholarships.
I don't have my GED® certificate yet, can I still take credit classes at Prairie State College?	Yes. However, you cannot receive financial aid or graduate without having a GED® certificate. It is recommended that you first complete this process first so that you are best prepared to take college credit courses.
I need help with my résumé, where can I go for help?	You can meet with the transition specialist for guidance.
I have a degree or diploma from my country of origin can I use it to study here at Prairie State College?	You should speak with the Career Pathways Advisor to discuss the process.
