Our CNA program is designed to prepare students for a rewarding career in providing
essential care services for patients, including bathing, grooming, feeding, and providing
crucial support to nurses.
Criminal Justice Program offers a comprehensive curriculum designed to prepare students
for successful careers in law enforcement, corrections, security, and related fields.
Dental assistants perform many tasks, ranging from providing patient care and taking
x rays to recordkeeping and scheduling appointments. Their duties vary by state and
by the dentists’ offices where they work.
The Dental Hygiene program equips students with specialized skills essential for a
career as a dental hygienist. The curriculum emphasizes prophylaxis (removing calculus,
stains, and deposits from teeth), preventing oral diseases, and the hygienist's role
as a dental health educator.
The Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) and First Responder programs, offered in collaboration
with St. James Hospitals and Health Centers, provide a comprehensive learning experience
under the guidance of lead instructors certified by the Illinois Department of Public
Health.
Fire Science is the body of study that focuses around the nature of fire. Fire science explores many different types of fires such as chemical, metal, and
electrical.
Real-world training beyond the classroom in the growing health and fitness industry.
Students receive hands-on training with professional equipment and knowledgeable instructors.
Physical Therapist Assistants work under the direction of a physical therapist to
help patients recover from injuries, illnesses, and surgeries. This 5 semester program
prepares students to take the national licensure exam and practice in the field of
physical therapy.
The Surgical Technology Program trains students to become surgical technologists who
assist in various medical settings, including operating rooms, labor and delivery
units, and outpatient surgical centers.
